This is actually from a while ago, but I didn't make the
time to download the pictures. But when we're not doing autocross or
something, taking the dog down to the lake in summer is high on my list of
things to do. This is the backside of the lake, at Mica bay, one of the
few places you still don't have to pay to launch a boat or park to play with
your dog. Thank goodness for non-greedy jerks! I used to go down to
the river where they put up that stupid massive pay site and
"improved" the area. It used to be all grass lands. There
was even a rope swing there. Far as I'm concerned, it should have stayed
that way, but people with land like to make tourists pay the 5 bucks or whatever
and it is prime real estate being just across the bridge. Now the frequent
visitors are the lardaceous people from the RV park on the other side of
95. Sigghhh. But, no matter! Here's a few pictures from an outing
with Cobi the wonder dog. Some pictures of the bay. This is the "I really want out, I know you have a
tennis ball" look. If you're not going to throw it, I'll take it from under
your foot! You wouldn't think she was 12 years old with the way she
swims out for a ball. She does occasionally get moored boats confused with
dock extensions. :) After 8 million throws, we're good. And that's a cooled off happy dog ready to go home! I
highly recommend playing fetch with a dog anytime you're needing something to
do. Better than ten years with a therapist.
