5-18-10.
What's new? Painted the 510! All one color of Kubota orange, with 12 rattle cans! Ended up coming out nicely, except for the roof. It needs a re-coat and a smoothing out, but it's good enough for now. Getting ready for autocross this next saturday, my buddy Mike will be out there with me flogging Eleanor. Should be a blast!

4-9-10.
The newest thing is my father was kind enough to give me his old NX2000 for my 30th birthday! Only 130k on the B13 chassis, plenty of life left, and quite a few good bits from when he used to autocross it. I'm stoked. The best part is it gets around 30 mpg, compared to the hardbody 4x4 which gets 17. Been thinking about trying to find a little four cylinder diesel to stick in it. Anyway, here's a pic of the new NX! I always said if I had to get a front wheel drive, it would have to be a B13!

I'm racing the first autocross points event this weekend on Sunday, can't freakin' wait! I'm hoping I can pilot the 510 to a win in vintage class, but there are quite a few contenders.
As usual, I have been shirking the website updates and throwing it up on ratsun.net, one of the best Datsun sites around. Check it out!

Why did I start this site? Creativity is
a terrible thing to waste. This
site is a fun thing to play with when I'm stuck inside doing laundry, or when I
finish a particularly memorable automobile project. It's not a stupid day-to-day web log, but something more
concrete with information for all, particularly Datsun/Nissan/Mazda enthusiasts who
understand real race car drivers turn left AND right, thank you. As in
Autocross, Rallycross, Formula One, Baja, Road Racing, and Rally Racing. Aside from the new job, I double as an import
mechanic on weekends. Nissan/Datsun, Mazda, Subaru, Toyota, Honda, NO
VOLKSWAGENS. If you're in the Spokane/CDA area, you're more than
welcome to drop me a line. I occasionally give out advice, but a lot of
problems have to be examined in person. Enjoy the rest of the site.![]()
