Rallycross. Whereas autocross is 4 runs for time on pavement, simulating road racing with more technical maneuvers, rallycross is meant to bridge the gap between real rally competition (WRC and local rallies, very expensive) with 4 runs on dirt/tarmac on one or more stages, with the runs averaged for a final time.
Basically, going as fast as you can between cones, with the added fun of having less grip due to mud, sand, and snow. It's very fun. The only bad thing is usually these events are significantly colder. During an earlier event this year, we had to have cars stationed at each worker checkpoint because we needed the heaters. Deer Park airport can get very cold.
The good news is, the same group that puts on autocross, puts on rallycross. That would be Autosports Northwest and the price is the same. It's 20 or 25 bucks now for non-members, can't remember exactly. I'll update this after I check the website.
It's a hell of a good time. Find a rally beater and come on out!
Here are some pictures from the first two events. I unfortunately missed the last one. I had a horrific cold and figured spending all day outside wasn't a good idea.

November '06 At the starting line.

Exceptionally fast Audi.

BMW, can't remember whose.

Ah yes, as I use the truck for autocross, I will use it for rallycross too. Never underestimate the dirty, dented D21.

The truck is not very good at this, due to one wheel drive and a light rear end. However, it does make impressive rooster tails.

Here are some pictures from the second rally. This was all snow, and very cold. Very, very fun, though, and less abusive than the dirt track. Wish I had more pictures.

There are cones, just none of these pictures show them. It got less foggy in the afternoon session, but I didn't find any afternoon pictures in the gallery.

Either an EVO or STI, I can't tell which. I'm leaning towards STI.

And some other car. Did I mention this was really fun?
