Rallycross has finally started again.  I don't have any pictures from last season as I only had the Miata last winter and didn't want to subject it to potential abuse.  This season is starting out pretty well.  I pulled decent times for the first event.  Only had one DNF (stuck needing extrication.)  We need the registrations to figure out which classes.  We separate 2x4s from 4x4s, and most of these cars were Subis.  There was one Miata driver, and I'm not sure if I beat him, but don't know his name, so I'll just have to wait.  Hank Moore showed up with his Chevy extended cab pickup and got the fastest time of day, which is pretty funny.  Unofficial since he couldn't be there for the event.

It doesn't take much snow to get you high centered and stuck, even with a welded diff.

And of course we didn't have any good tow points on the rear of the 510, so we looped the rope through the backseat, which worked great!  The run before mine, I pulled the Subi pulling me out of the exact same spot.  Then I followed his ruts right into the same snowbank.

So for the first rallycross of the season, I came away with the following prizes.  Already sucked them out with a suction cup, so not that big a deal.

It's a fun time, check out Autosports Northwest for more information!  Usually we don't get this dinged up, but we had a lot of snow for the first event which required a huge plow from the airport to move.  More pictures from the event can be seen here:  http://www.autosportsnorthwest.org/gallery/v/2008+Seaon/
